You've Probably Been Told It's Nothing
You may have lived with back pain for years, visited several chiropractors, or completed physical therapy. Perhaps you tried stretching regularly but stopped because it did not seem to help.
Somewhere along the way, someone probably told you it was stress, or your age, or that you'd just have to live with it.
You don't need to be talked out of what you're feeling. You need someone to actually look.

Meet Dr. Loren Moore, DC
Dr. Loren Moore didn't choose chiropractic off a career list. He came to it through his own wrist.
He was working as an orthopedic technician in San Diego — inside the system, seeing daily what it could and couldn't do — when he developed a wrist injury the orthopedic doctors around him couldn't resolve. A chiropractor fixed what his own field couldn't. That ended one career and started another.
He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2007, with advanced certification in Applied Kinesiology and the Webster Technique. The orthopedic background never left him. It's why he reads a structural exam the way he does, and why he's slow to accept "we don't know why it keeps coming back" as an answer. He's been the patient on the other side of that sentence.
He'll also tell you when chiropractic isn't the answer. If what's going on needs a different kind of care, you'll hear that on day one.

I have been receiving chiropractic care from Dr. Moore for almost a year. It has been a very good experience! A year ago, I had back pain that was affecting every step I took. Dr. Moore recognized and targeted the root cause of my specific injury and developed a customized approach that my body could respond well to. Additionally, he made nutritional recommendations that would support long-term healing so I could maximize benefit from the adjustments. Dr. Moore and receptionist Taylor always greet with a smile and they truly care about their patients. I appreciate their flexibility in scheduling. Taylor responds quickly when I need to make a change. I also highly recommend the red light therapy! It is very relaxing and complements the adjustments nicely. I am so glad I started getting chiropractic care when I did! I do feel much better now! I consider this a necessary part of my self-care and I look forward to my visit each week.
Dr. Moore knows what he’s doing! I came in with neck pain that had been radiating down my arm. He did preliminary X-rays to locate the problem and I felt improvement from the very first adjustment. We set up a treatment plan that’s working wonders, and I’m hooked!Taylor works the front desk and makes everyone that comes through the door feel like family. Definitely go see them. You won’t regret it.
Dr. Moore’s knowledge and personality make coming to the Brentwood office both helpful, to genuinely make health improvements, and a pleasure. Five prior chiropractors I have seen over the years do not compare. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering chiropractic care.

04 / The approach
What Is Corrective Chiropractic Care?
Corrective chiropractic care aims to change the underlying structure of the spine over a series of visits, rather than relieving symptoms one appointment at a time. Where relief care addresses pain as it occurs, corrective care starts with imaging and a structural exam to identify alignment and curvature problems, then follows a planned series of adjustments and supporting therapies intended to change that structure.
This is why corrective care is delivered as a plan rather than as single visits, and why the first appointment focuses on measurement before treatment.
05 / Conditions treated
Eight Reasons Brentwood Patients Come to Well Health
Back Pain
Back pain becomes chronic when the structural cause goes unaddressed and the body compensates around it. Care starts by identifying what in the spine's alignment is producing the strain, rather than treating the sore area alone.
Back Pain careNeck Pain
Neck pain often traces to loss of the natural cervical curve, frequently from posture, desk work, or an old injury. Care targets restoring that curve so the surrounding muscles stop overworking to hold the head up.
Neck Pain careSciatica
Sciatica is nerve pain that travels from the lower back through the hip and down the leg, usually caused by compression of the sciatic nerve where it exits the spine. Care focuses on finding and relieving the structural source of that compression rather than only calming the symptom.
Sciatica careHeadaches & Migraines
Many recurring headaches originate in the upper neck, where joint restriction and muscle tension refer pain into the head. Care examines cervical alignment to find whether the headache pattern has a structural driver.
Headaches & Migraines careAuto Accident & Whiplash
Whiplash injuries change the neck's alignment in ways that often don't produce symptoms for days or weeks after a collision. Early imaging and a structural exam establish what actually changed before compensation patterns set in.
Auto Accident & Whiplash careSports Injury
Sports injuries involve alignment, muscle imbalance, and joint mechanics that ordinary rest doesn't correct. Care addresses the structural side so the injury doesn't recur the next season.
Sports Injury carePosture Correction
Forward head posture and rounded shoulders load the spine in ways it wasn't built for, and they progress quietly for years. Care measures the deviation and works to change it rather than reminding you to sit up straight.
Posture Correction carePregnancy
Pregnancy shifts the pelvis and lower back under a changing load, often producing pain that ordinary care avoids treating. Dr. Moore holds Webster Technique certification, a method developed specifically for pelvic alignment during pregnancy.

06 / Common questions
How much does a chiropractor cost in Brentwood?
New patients at Well Health & Chiropractic Brentwood pay $40 for a first visit that includes a consultation, structural exam, digital x-rays if clinically necessary, a first adjustment if appropriate, and a full-body red light therapy session. Well Health & Chiropractic Brentwood is a cash-pay clinic and does not bill insurance, so there is no claim filed and no surprise bill afterward. If your plan reimburses out-of-network care, the team can prepare the reports and forms you need to submit for reimbursement. Corrective care plans are quoted after the exam, once the doctor knows what's actually involved.
Do I need x-rays at my first chiropractic visit?
Not always. X-rays are taken when they're clinically necessary — when the exam findings indicate imaging is needed to identify the structural cause safely and accurately. If imaging is taken, Dr. Moore reviews the images with you and explains what they show.
How long does chiropractic treatment take to work?
It depends on how long the problem has been present and what's causing it. Symptom relief often comes early, but structural correction happens over a planned series of visits across weeks to months. Anyone promising a specific timeline before examining you is guessing.
Does Well Health & Chiropractic Brentwood take insurance?
No. Well Health & Chiropractic Brentwood is a cash-pay clinic and does not bill insurance. The $40 new patient visit is the full cost of that appointment, and care plan pricing is given upfront before anything begins. If your plan reimburses out-of-network care, the team can prepare the reports and forms you need to submit for reimbursement yourself.
What happens at the first chiropractic visit?
The first visit is a consultation, a structural exam, digital x-rays if clinically necessary, and a first adjustment if the exam supports it. Most first visits run 45 to 60 minutes. Your full report — what was found and what correcting it involves — comes at the second visit, after the doctor has reviewed everything.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?
Most patients feel pressure and movement rather than pain. Tell the doctor if you're sore, pregnant, or have had a recent injury, and the technique is adjusted accordingly.
Can I see a chiropractor while pregnant?
Yes. Dr. Moore holds Webster Technique certification, a method developed specifically for pelvic alignment during pregnancy.
