Creamy Avocado Chocolate Mousse

This rich & decadent healthy spin on chocolate mousse adapts to all sorts of dietary needs!

Creamy Avocado Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Ingredients

2 large avocados*

1/4 cup unsweetened cacao powder

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

1/3 cup almond milk

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/4 tsp cinnamon

4oz of 80% melted baking chocolate

Mint for garnish**

Directions

1. Add all ingredients to a food processor.

2. Process until smooth.

3. Chill for 1 hour before serving. Top with mint for added flavor.

Notes

*Be sure your avocados are not underripe or overripe. If underripe, they will not blend smoothly. If overripe, the flavor won't be quite right.

**Completely optional, but highly recomended!

This is due to their fat content; Rounding out to roughly 22 grams of fat per avocado, you'll be pleased to know that their fat is mostly from monosaturated fatty acids-a heart-healthy alternative.
